About Artist and His Work: Internationally renowned, Korea Foundation’s Fellowship holder, scholar, artist Dr. Shekhar Chandra Joshi, D. Litt is currently Professor and Dean in Faculty of Visual Art of Kumaun University, SSJ Campus Almora, Uttarakhand, India. His Self-developed techniques (Nakshat Kala/ Art) by his finger nail’s tips on paper in colour, is like a magic without using any pen, pencil, stick and brush to draw and except only by padded coins to paint.
All forty two paintings were painted during Covid-19 which reflects his artistic and scholarly thought process of grief, joy, creativity with a concern to pray and gratitude towards this massive disaster. Paintings were made considering the feel and thoughts between Corona (Pandemic) which showcase Love, Kind, Separation, Isolation, Devotion (to God/Goddess), Fantasy, as well as efforts for awareness etc. His realistic, semi realistic and abstract creation with related theme and concept is trying to depicted his mastery and innovative style.
About WAYSAC LP: World Almighty Award for Yoga, Sports, Science, Art and Culture dedicated to Lila Parvati (WAYSAC LP); is a newly born Non-Profitable organization/ Trust of Uttarakhand, India committed to create awareness, facilitate, sponsor and organize the activities on artistic, cultural and social issues. A recent and jointly held webinar on “Art Awareness and Artificial Intelligence beyond the Pandemic Crisis” was its credit.
